Female-only & male-only separation

We operate two separate dormitory rooms at all times: a dedicated female-only dorm and a dedicated male-only dorm. Bunks are never mixed across genders, so every solo traveller — women in particular — can rest with complete peace of mind.

  • Female guests are always assigned to the female-only room. Male guests are always assigned to the male-only room.
  • Guests aged 16 and above may stay in a dorm. Children under 16 are welcome in our private hotel rooms with a parent or guardian.
  • Couples and mixed-gender friends who wish to share a room are kindly asked to book one of our private hotel rooms instead.
  • Visitors of the opposite gender are not permitted inside the dorm rooms — meet on the rooftop or in the lounge.
2Good to know

Quiet hours — 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

  • Quiet hours run from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Keep conversations to a whisper and use headphones for music or videos.
  • Phone calls, video calls and group chats belong on the rooftop, in the lounge or in the courtyard — never in the bunk room after quiet hours begin.
  • If you arrive or depart during quiet hours, pre-pack the night before and move gently — every zip carries in a dorm.
  • The rooftop stays open late for tea, conversation and stargazing over the Pyramids.

Check-in, check-out & arrival

  • Check-in: from 2:00 PM. Early arrivals may leave luggage with reception and relax on the rooftop.
  • Check-out: by 11:00 AM. Late check-out is subject to availability.
  • Reception is staffed 24 hours. Message us on WhatsApp with your flight or train details so we can meet you calmly.
  • At check-in we ask every guest for a valid photo ID or passport — a legal requirement in Egypt.
  • Payment for the stay and extras is settled at check-in unless already prepaid.
  • You'll receive your bunk number, a personal locker (bring a small padlock or buy one at reception), fresh linen and a quick tour.
4Please note

ID, registration & age

  • Every guest must present a valid passport or photo ID at check-in — a legal requirement in Egypt.
  • Dorm guests must be at least 16 years old. Children under 16 are warmly welcome in our private hotel rooms with a parent or guardian.
  • The primary guest paying for the stay must be at least 18 years old.
5Please note

Shared living & courtesies

  • Keep the room tidy: bags on the luggage rack or in your locker, not on other beds.
  • Please do not sit or eat on other guests' beds.
  • Shower quickly during peak morning hours so everyone can leave on time for the Pyramids.
  • No smoking, vaping or open flames inside the dorm, bathrooms or any indoor area. The rooftop has a designated smoking corner.
  • No hot food inside the dorm — please eat in the lounge or on the rooftop.
  • Alcohol is not served in the dorms; enjoy drinks responsibly in the common areas.
  • Guests who repeatedly disturb others may be asked to move to a private room (at the applicable rate) or to check out early.
6House rule

Safety, valuables & lockers

  • Each bunk has its own personal locker. Store passports, cash, cards and electronics there whenever you leave the room.
  • The property is monitored by CCTV in all common areas (never inside dorms or bathrooms).
  • Fire exits, extinguishers and a first-aid kit are clearly marked. Note the nearest exit from your bunk on arrival.
  • Report any concern — a broken lock, a lost key, an uncomfortable interaction — to reception immediately. Every report is taken seriously and confidentially.
7Must know

Pets & service animals

  • Pets and service animals are not allowed anywhere on the property — including dorms, common areas, the rooftop and the restaurant.
